Rubi has all her own equipment to set up rigging in your studio (depending on ceiling height) for 8-15 participants. Maximum 8 participants for all flying aerial workshops

Aerial Hammock

This specialty workshop is a perfect introduction to the aerial hammock and will give you a taste of all the aerial hammock basics. This workshop starts with a warm up that focuses on the muscles used in aerial hammock followed by basic safety warm-ups and skills on the aerial hammock, on the ground and up in the air. The class ends with conditioning exercises used by aerialists to promote strength, flexibility, and safety. A 3 minute routine of the moves learned will be performed at the end of the workshop.

Flying Yoga Spinal Decompression

In this specialty workshop you will be guided through a warm up, stretches, meditation, safely supported inversions, and various techniques using the Flying Yoga Hammock to lengthen your spine, increase mobility, release tension, and open your chakras. This workshop is open to all levels of fitness. Bring a friend and share the rejuvenating experience of Spinal Decompression with Flying Yoga Hammock.

Flying Yin Yoga

This new and inventive yoga class combines yin and restorative yoga with silk hammocks suspended about a foot from the floor. The silk is used as a prop to better deepen, relax, and focus inward and is especially effective in achieving safe and restful inversions. Flying Yin Yoga targets the areas of the body that deteriorate through overuse and degenerate through a sedentary lifestyle and aging. By applying moderate gravitational stress to connective tissues followed by relaxation, circulation in the joints will increase and flexibility will improve. Poses are held for longer periods of time, up to 10 minutes.

Acro Yoga

AcroYoga is for partner balancing and posing- good for everyone! AcroYoga combines acrobatics and yoga poses utilizing a partner to increase body awareness, core strength, balancing and flexibility in a fun and engaging way. Sign up with a partner or alone and be paired with someone at the class.

Thai Massage

This special 2-hour workshop will be for you to receive and to give a guided one hour Thai Massage. Sign up with a partner and have fun stretching, massaging, laughing, and tea. In this workshop Rubi will guide you in learning a basic Thai massage sequence that will be fun for you and your partner. No experience is necessary as this workshop is designed for beginners.

Restorative Flying Yoga

This yoga of concentration invites stillness and spaciousness into our lives. Sometimes relaxation needs to be learned and scheduled. The benefits of taking time for yourself are immeasurable; blood pressure lowers, immunity and digestion improve and general fatigue is reduced. In a Flying Restorative Yoga class movements will be gentle, settling into a few poses for a prolonged amount of time with the support of the hammock and numerous props to ensure you are stable and comfortable.

Core Yoga

Core yoga class works from the inside out by strengthening the core, It increases strength, balance and flexibility. The class is a total body workout. It utilizes multiple muscle groups simultaneously, creating a complete workout that integrates the upper torso and lower body with the core.

Flying Partner Yoga & Thai Massage

A specially-designed 2-hour workshop for couples, friends, family or a loved one. Explore a new perspective to partner works for yoga and aerial arts. Learn partner poses on the mat and then take flight with partner flying aerial yoga. Bring your practice to a whole new level while having fun at the same time! Finish with partner Thai massage to stretch and tone the muscles, improve circulation, relieve muscular tension, speed up metabolism, boost the immune system and balance the body. The session closes with aromatherapy.
